Risk Management Sunshine Coast

It has been long known that businesses have a responsibility to their customers to provide the best products and services that they possibly can. Many would consider this to be the only way that a business can thrive or even survive in the current marketplace. What often gets forgotten in this discussion is the responsibility that they also have to their employees. A fair wage might be considered to be the top of the list in this regard, but you also cannot ignore the need for safe working conditions for everyone single employer.

safe-assessmentIn order for that to happen, all businesses must perform a health risk assessment in order to see which areas need to be addressed and which areas are currently up to standard. Companies in the Sunshine Coast and all of Australia need to adhere to the rules and regulations laid out in the Workplace Health & Safety Act 2011; Regulations and Codes of Practice. Simply having a first aid kit handy in case of an accident is simply not enough, which is why calling in a professional health and safety consulting firm is always a good idea.

Duty of care is often the first thing that is addressed, as it is the legal responsibly of every company to make sure that all employees and visitors to the business have an environment that is as safe as possible and a way to be treated should there be an issue. It can be hard for many businesses to strike the perfect balance between looking after their employees and doing all they can to ensure safety to the public over and above that. The only way to achieve that balance is to allow the professionals like HRB Consulting to perform a risk management assessment that while highlight areas that need to be addressed.

tradieThey can help your business pinpoint the levels of risk that come with the type of business that you operate, which will help ensure the personal safety of everyone from employees to customers and clients. It is easy for businesses to believe that because they operate in a relatively danger-free environment that they do not have to be held to the same standards as a company who do work that is inherently dangerous by nature. This is not the case, though, as accidents can happen in every type of work, no matter how safe the job may look from the outside.

HRB Consulting can help your business in a number of different ways, all of which will get you up to the required standards of health and safety. They can help you put together a safety policy that can then be distributed to every employee. They can also take a look at your working environment and help you come up with solutions that will lessen the likelihood of accidents and injury in the workplace. This is always a great idea, not just because it’s the law, but because of the responsibilities you have to your customers and employees.
